Global Digital Experience Platform Transformation for a Leading Dental Manufacturer

Our client, a full-service, Japan-based manufacturer of oral healthcare products and dental equipment, offers a portfolio of over 600 products sold globally. The organization faced challenges managing its extensive digital presence, with 15+ websites on a diverse and complex technology stack, leading to inconsistent user experiences and poor website performance. Our client sought a unified solution to manage its technology stacks and multiple agencies, hosting partners, server OS and database engines. It needed to centralize management, improve brand consistency, enhance user journeys and streamline integration processes. The company partnered with Material to consolidate and transform its digital experience platform onto Drupal 10.
  • Developed a centralized, consolidated platform and governance structure, creating a unified platform for 15+ websites

  • Performed multi-site and multi-cluster deployment. Transitioned all sites to Azure Public Cloud using container-based deployment. With this new setup, the company has a consolidated and centralized view of all cloud components, making maintenance easier, optimizing costs and enhancing security.

  • Standardized UX and UI to achieve brand identity unification across all regional websites

  • Built a library of 50+ components for business teams to create tailored content

  • Integrated CRM for customer data consolidation, SharePoint for centralized asset management and GMO/PayPal for secure payments

  • Centralized identity management by implementing ADB2C for end-user identity management and Azure AD to enable backend user access through single sign-on (SSO)

  • Implemented Serverless Download Module, which facilitates large file software downloads using Azure Functions  

  • Enhanced search capabilities by utilizing elastic search for quick content search, automated testing and custom audit trail
